yellow hardanger

I started this yellow hardanger tablecloth last summer and since then it was very close to becoming another UFO, so I am very pleased with myself for finishing it at last.

When going away I am usually very optimistic about the amount of embroidery I am likely to do on holiday. And I always bring it all back, hardly touched. There is just so much going on besides.
This time wasn't much different.




I did however start a piece of hardanger, the emphasis being on "start"! As you know, hardanger requires a lot of concentration, not such a good idea for holidays.

I also managed to do more embroidery on some of the blocks for the Tail Feathers quilt. I found this was a good work to do on the ferries, as it is easy to do.

A cushion with hardanger applique finished at last.

This is work in progress, an UFO I have just rediscovered. When finnished, I plan to use it as an applique for a cushion. I have now bought a piece of silk for the cushion, so I have no more excuse!






Also, some new threads arrived this week for a couple of projects I am hoping to do in the near future.

I like hardanger very much. It needs a lot of concentration and counting, so it is not something you can pick and put down. I wish I had time to do more.
